šæ From Hemp Seed Oil to Rice Bran Oil: A Gentle Shift in Our Soaps
Posted on:
At The Bubble Sisterhood, every ingredient we choose has a purpose. From the lather to the feel on your skin, each oil in our recipes adds its own unique touch. Recently, we made a small but meaningful change in our soap recipe: we swapped hemp seed oil for rice bran oil.
Both oils are beautiful in their own right, but rice bran oil offered a few qualities that fit perfectly with the kind of soaps we love to make.
Hemp Seed Oil: Light and Unique
Hemp seed oil has long been admired in soap making for its lightweight feel and subtle earthy tone. It contributes softness to soap and pairs beautifully with other oils. When we first introduced it into our recipes, it gave a silky quality we really enjoyed.
Rice Bran Oil: Creamy and Conditioning
Rice bran oil, however, has a charm all its own. Pressed from the outer layers of rice, this golden oil adds a creamy richness to soap. Itās often loved by makers for how it creates a smooth, conditioning bar with gentle bubbles. The texture feels just a touch more luxurious, and it complements the balance we aim for in every recipe.
Why We Made the Switch
Our decision wasnāt about one oil being ābetterā than the otherāit was about finding the right fit for our soaps. Rice bran oil allows us to create bars that feel a little creamier in hand, hold their shape beautifully, and maintain the kind of balance our customers enjoy.
Sometimes, small changes make a big difference. This one has allowed us to refine our recipes while still keeping the heart of what we do: making soaps that feel comforting, indulgent, and just a little bit magical.
